RefTime Help & Guidance Page
- Early generation watches get GPS information from iPhone
- this means GPS information is not always available in game log on iPhone
- Watch update of data to app on phone can be delayed
- Tip: Let timer run at end of first half to time halftime break as a bonus you’ll get a haptic every minute
- Exporting a log may be missing last events if watch hasn’t sent data, double check
- You control your data, RefTime doesn’t collect it
- Series 0 watch battery averages about two 90 minute games, time to upgrade (you may be able to offset your taxes)
- Plan on charging the watch on long tournament days
- Series 3 and newer will do four 90 minute games
- Much effort has been taken to prevent accidental swipes
- Use force touch to cancel running games/workouts
- end half buttons are hidden until last 60 seconds of the half
- Heavy rain and long sleeves can accidently cause a ‘swipe’, beaware!
- A lot of work has occured to minimize/eliminate this, see below
- see comments above about hiding button until last 60 seconds and force touch
- If your hand is cold and wet it may prove difficult to get the watch to read your taps. I usually ask an player to help in that case
- My hands turn white with cold during winter rain here in the pacific northwest
